Based on this, a proposal of educational strategies is presented through the use of technological tools for approaching the subject of Social Studies in the fourth year of primary school, for which the quantitative approach was used to diagnose the level of knowledge about ICT as a tool in the educational process by the teaching staff of the fourth year of primary school in the subject of Social Studies during the first semester of 2019 and the perception of the fourth year students on the use of technological tools in the classroom. It was possible to detect gaps in knowledge about ICT, frequency of use, methodology employed, strategies used, types of tools, roles and teaching approaches. At the same time, aspects such as the sporadic use of technological tools stand out, of which the television under a behaviorist model and the low knowledge of ICT by the teaching staff are noticeable. The results obtained were used as the basis for the design of the proposal. Entre las principales características de la era digital está la inclusión de las tecnologías de información y comunicación (TIC) en las diferentes facetas de la cotidianidad, particularmente, en la educación y la dinámica del aula. A partir de esto, se presenta una propuesta de estrategias educativas a través del empleo de herramientas tecnológicas para el abordaje de la materia de Estudios Sociales de cuarto año de primaria. Para ello, se utilizó el enfoque cuantitativo, buscando diagnosticar el nivel de conocimiento sobre las TIC como herramienta en el proceso educativo, por parte del personal docente de cuarto año de primaria de la asignatura de Estudios Sociales, durante el I semestre de 2019, y la percepción del estudiantado de cuarto año sobre el uso de dichas herramientas tecnológicas dentro del aula. Se logró detectar carencias en los saberes sobre TIC, la frecuencia de uso, la metodología empleada, las estrategias utilizadas, los tipos de herramientas, roles y enfoques de enseñanza. A su vez, destacan aspectos como el uso esporádico de herramientas tecnológicas, entre las cuales resaltan el televisor, valiéndose de un modelo conductista, y el bajo conocimiento de las TIC por parte del cuerpo docente. Los resultados obtenidos se tomaron como base para diseñar la propuesta.
