The purpose of this research is to contribute to the scientific debate in this discipline and other areas that converge in the comprehensive care of the human being. Therefore, the intended objective is to propose the cultural dimension in the Circle of Integral Well-being (CBI in Spanish) through the argumentation of the educational approach of integral prevention. The research approach is qualitative with content-analysis design. Three steps were carried out in the methodology: first, the empirical data were collected with different techniques; subsequently, the data were organized for the understanding and construction of analysis categories and, finally, the data were analyzed with a comparative method. Among the main results, a new dimension is incorporated in the educational approach of integral prevention “circle of integral well-being” and the theoretical argumentation of the cultural dimension. In addition, the importance of rethinking and reflecting on the theoretical and methodological bases of the discipline is highlighted in the face of the new challenges that arise. Los cambios, demandas y desafíos sociales, así como los nuevos escenarios en diversos ámbitos del ser humano, nos llevan a reflexionar y revisar los modelos, enfoques, estrategias y diseños en Orientación. El propósito de este artículo de revisión bibliográfica es aportar al debate científico en esta disciplina y otras áreas que convergen en la atención integral del ser humano. Por tanto, el objetivo planteado es proponer la dimensión cultural en el Círculo de Bienestar Integral (CBI), por medio de la argumentación del enfoque educativo de prevención integral. El enfoque de investigación es cualitativo con un diseño de análisis de contenido. Se realizan tres pasos en la metodología: primero, se recolectan, con diferentes técnicas, los datos empíricos; posteriormente, se organizan los datos para la comprensión y construcción de categorías de análisis y, por último, se analizan los datos con un método comparativo. Dentro de los principales resultados, se incorpora una nueva dimensión en el enfoque educativo de prevención integral “círculo de bienestar integral”, y la argumentación teórica de la dimensión cultural; además, se resalta la importancia de replantear y reflexionar sobre los sustentos teóricos y metodológicos de la disciplina frente a los nuevos retos que se presentan.
