By analyzing the role of education and reexamining its meaning as well as reconsidering its main concepts is a good first step. It is also of paramount importance in a historical context where social changes and the urgency for a healthier and more fraternal coexistence make of this call, a decisive one. Good political education, the efficient use of technology and the recovery of those key areas of knowledge when it comes to citizenship development within the school and university, as well as the social reconsideration of the role of teachers become a pressing call. A call that as a society we must urgently attend, if what we are really searching for is the construction of a better and happier society. Encontrar una fórmula para hacer de nuestra sociedad una más justa y digna para todas las personas resulta, hoy por hoy, prácticamente imposible. Analizar el rol de la educación y reexaminar su significado, así como el de sus principales conceptos es un buen primer paso y resulta de vital importancia en un contexto histórico donde los cambios sociales y la urgencia por una convivencia más sana y fraterna hacen de este llamado uno perentorio. La formación política, el uso eficiente de las tecnologías y la recuperación de áreas claves del conocimiento en la formación ciudadana, tanto en la escuela como en la universidad, así como el respeto y la reconsideración social para con el personal docente se vuelven llamados de primer orden; llamados que como sociedad debemos atender urgentemente, si lo que de verdad buscamos es la construcción de una mejor sociedad y una más feliz.
