This research aims to recognize the notion of citizenship owned by university students enrolled in the career of History and Geography Teaching at Bío-Bío University (Chile), in 2015. It is based on the methods of education for political, social, and active citizenship from a critical position. It is a descriptive, quantitative approach, with a single study case. A survey aimed at the entire population (census) was used. Thus, it is concluded that the future teaching staff seems to adhere to training methods for social citizenship, corresponding with Marshallian notions of citizenship. However, this notion is not entirely pure, because as reflected in the results, it is importantly present in training for active and critical citizenship.  Este trabajo está destinado a reconocer la noción de ciudadanía que posee el estudiantado universitario de Pedagogía en Historia y Geografía de la Universidad del Bío-Bío (Chile) en el año 2015. Se basa en los modos de formación para la ciudadanía política, social, activa y desde una postura crítica. El abordaje es descriptivo de enfoque cuantitativo, con un estudio de caso único, y se utiliza a la totalidad de la población (censal). De esta forma, se conluye que el futuro profesorado parece adherir modos de formación para la ciudadanía social, correspondiendo con nociones marshallianas de ciudadanía. Sin embargo, esta noción no es del todo pura, pues como se plasma en los resultados, existe una presencia importante en la formación para la ciudadanía activa y crítica.  Este trabalho destina-se a reconhecer a noção de cidadania possuído pelos estudantes universitários de Pedagogia em História e Geografia da Universidade do Bío Bío em 2015. Baseia-se em modos de formação para,, a cidadania activa social, política e de uma postura crítica. A abordagem é a abordagem descritiva quantitativa com um único estudo de caso, e o levantamento de toda a população (censo) é usado. Desta forma, os futuros professores conluye parece aderir modos de formação para cidadania social, o que corresponde a noções Marshallianas de cidadania.
