A photography workshop was held for the women with the aim of allowing their images show the reality around them and work to reweave the social fabric broken, not voluntarily but under imposition. Recovering the public space, through voices and looks, will let us understand, from the perspective and opinions of the Sahrawi women, their longings and feelings, in order that such visual, verbal and textual narratives generate more successful actions to support reality-aware and solidarity programs. In addition, the international community was sensitized about a reality that is present even if it seems unreal and far away. To understand the discourses of the sahrawi women, gender and subaltern studies were considered, and to visualize their voices and creations we focused on educational research from horizontality offered by the Entre Voces (Between Voices) methodology. Este estudio se llevó a cabo en la zona más inhóspita del desierto del Sáhara en los campos de refugiados de Tindouf en Argelia, donde radica una parte de la comunidad saharaui. Ahí se impartió a las mujeres un taller fotográfico con el objetivo de que las imágenes permitieran visibilizar la realidad de su entorno y trabajar en la recomposición del tejido social roto, no por voluntad sino por imposición. Recuperar el espacio público a través de voces y miradas nos permitirá entender, desde la visión y opiniones de las saharauis, sus nostalgias y sentimientos, con el objetivo de que dichas narraciones visuales, verbales y textuales generen pautas más acertadas en el apoyo de programas solidarios acordes con su realidad, además de sensibilizar a la comunidad internacional acerca de una realidad que está presente aunque parezca irreal y lejana. Para entender los discursos de las saharauis se tomaron en cuenta los estudios subalternos y de género, y para visibilizar sus voces y creaciones o ambas, nos enfocamos en la investigación educativa desde la horizontalidad que nos brinda la metodología Entre Voces.
