It corresponds to a cross, synchronous and non experimental study, whose scope is mainly descriptive. The data collection was carried out through a semi-structured interview and transcribed from audio recordings to make a category analysis. The main results showed that in the case of students who were born with disabilities, the fact that an institution was inclusive turned out essential for them to have adequate transit through the educational system and thus become apt for higher education. The combination disability-inclusion-right to education-higher education is what this paper aimed to weave, trying to follow as thread or anchor, the previous school experiences of students with disabilities. We recognize that an adequate, inclusive, positive experience besides a subjective construction of the body and disability by family members, become important conditions to access schooling. Education is a right, therefore it can not be seen as an act of charity; it should be required as a quality practice. Este artículo tiene como propósito aproximarnos a las experiencias escolares de 13 estudiantes con discapacidad. Corresponde a un estudio transversal, sincrónico y no experimental, cuyo alcance es, principalmente, descriptivo. La recopilación de los datos se llevó a cabo por medio de una entrevista semiestructurada. Los datos se recopilaron y transcribieron fielmente de las grabaciones de audio para poder realizar un análisis categórico de estas mismas. Los principales resultados arrojaron que en el caso de estudiantes que nacieron con discapacidad, el hecho de que una institución fuera inclusiva fue indispensable para que pudieran tener un tránsito adecuado por el sistema educativo y, así, ser sujetos de educación superior. Esta conjunción discapacidad-inclusión-derecho a la educación-educación superior es lo que en este trabajo intentó tejerse, tratando de seguir como hilo conductor o punto de anclaje las experiencias escolares previas del alumnado con discapacidad. Reconocemos que una experiencia adecuada, inclusiva, positiva, además de una construcción subjetiva del cuerpo y la discapacidad por parte de la familia son condiciones importantes para el acceso a una escolaridad. La educación es un derecho, por tanto no puede ser vista como un acto de caridad, debe exigirse como práctica de calidad.
