This article shows the results of a research study whose main objective was to evaluate the contributions of the consulting process facilitated by the Online Learning Program (PAL). This consulting process is offered to tutors, coordinators and chair managers or program coordinators in the virtualization processes of their subjects or online courses at the State Distance University (UNED) of Costa Rica, to get an organization and appropriate mediation of virtual learning environments accordingly. The above with the purpose of generating an approach to procedural aspects and good practices that are carried out from the counseling process. An online instrument was applied to a population of counseling users. From the analysis performed on the instrument, a series of findings was obtained in terms of perceived benefits, relevance of the design, and organization that favors counseling for the improvement of online courses, their organization design, mediation, as well as the value of the manuals provided by the PAL to perform configuration processes on the platforms, among other aspects. Este artículo muestra los resultados de una investigación, cuyo objetivo principal fue valorar los aportes del proceso de asesoría que facilita el Programa de Aprendizaje en Línea (PAL) a las personas tutoras, coordinadoras y encargadas de cátedra o programa en los procesos de virtualización de sus asignaturas o cursos en línea de la Universidad Estatal a Distancia (UNED) de Costa Rica, para el logro de una organización y mediación idónea de los entornos virtuales de aprendizaje según corresponda. Lo anterior, con el propósito de generar un acercamiento a aspectos procedimentales y buenas prácticas que se realizan desde el proceso orientador de la asesoría. El trabajo se desarrolló con el enfoque de investigación mixta. Se aplicó un instrumento en línea a una población usuaria de la asesoría, a partir de cuyo análisis se brinda una serie de hallazgos, en cuanto a los beneficios que se perciben, relevancia del diseño y organización que propicia la asesoría para la mejora de los cursos en línea, su organización, diseño y mediación, así también el valor de los manuales que provee el PAL para realizar procesos de configuración en las plataformas, entre otros aspectos. Este artigo apresenta os resultados de uma investigação, cujo o principal objetivo foi avaliar as contribuições do processo de assistência facilitada pelo Programa de aprendizagem online (PAL). A assistência é brindada por parte das pessoas tutoras, coordenadoras e responsáveis de cátedra ou de programa acadêmico nos processos de virtualização de seus cursos on-line da Universidade Nacional a Distancia (UNED) da Costa Rica, com o propósito de alcançar uma adequada organização e mediação de ambientes virtuais de aprendizagem, conforme corresponde a esse meio. A finalidade do que foi exposto anteriormente é gerar um enfoque aos aspectos processuais e as boas práticas que são feitas a partir do processo orientador da assistência. A pesquisa desenvolvida foi de tipo mista. Utilizando um questionário aplicado on-line para a população de usuários da assistência, a partir da análise, apresentam-se vários resultados, relacionados com os benefícios percebidos, a relevância do material oferecido e a organização que brinda ajuda para melhorar os cursos on-line. Outros aspectos que aparecem se relacionam com a preparação, a proposta e a mediação, como também a importância dos manuais fornecidos pela PAL para processos de configuração nas plataformas, entre outros.
