This action research project proposes the following question: How can expressiveness be strengthened as an act of creativity in everyday relationships within classroom dynamics? This question was inspired by my everyday teaching practice as a preschool teacher of 5 and 6 year-old boys and girls during the 2012 school year, focusing on the development of expressiveness and creativity. The research study was based on the naturalistic paradigm, which seeks an integral development, used a qualitative methodology to grasp reality, and was developed in three phases: diagnosis, approach and transformation. Information was collected from recordings. As a teacher-researcher, I consider reality and the participants’ knowledge, points of view and individual qualities as a starting point. In addition, I explore, analyze and give timely solutions to the situations that arise every day, based on the interests, needs, and distinctive features of each participating child, with the purpose of creating moments at school that would promote and improve their expressiveness and creativity. As part of the process, I reflect on my role as a teacher and the importance of my emotional availability and express my permanent questioning, that may lead to giving the necessary amount of time to listening and to silence, to organize and make the necessary changes, and to propose and generate new meanings to the teaching practice, with the purpose of enjoying our own transformation, expressiveness, and creativity and, with all this, improve human relations. Recibido 3 de noviembre de 2013 • Corregido 10 de octubre de 2014 • Aceptado 22 de noviembre de 2014El proceso de investigación acción se guía por la pregunta: ¿Cómo fortalecer la expresividad como acto creativo en las relaciones cotidianas de la dinámica del aula?, la cual se inspira en la acción cotidiana que se genera desde mi práctica pedagógica como docente de educación preescolar, con un grupo de niñas y niños de 5 a 6 años edad, durante el curso lectivo 2012, centrado en el desarrollo de la expresividad y la creatividad. Este se aborda desde el paradigma naturalista, en la búsqueda del desarrollo integral y la metodología para comprender la realidad desde una perspectiva de orden cualitativo, desarrollada en tres fases: diagnóstica, abordaje y transformación. Se utilizaron grabaciones como instrumento para la recolección de la información. Como docente-investigadora tomo en cuenta la realidad, los conocimientos de los participantes, sus puntos de vista y cualidades singulares. Además de explorar, analizar y dar oportunas respuestas a las situaciones que se van planteando desde la cotidianidad, a partir de los intereses, las necesidades y particularidades específicas de los niños y las niñas participantes, para crear momentos durante la jornada que promuevan y mejoren su expresividad y su creatividad. Como parte del proceso reflexiono acerca de mi rol docente, la importancia de mi disposición emocional y realizo cuestionamientos permanentes, que conlleven a dedicar el tiempo necesario a la escucha y a los silencios, para organizar y efectuar cambios pertinentes, para proponer y generar nuevos significados al quehacer educativo, con el propósito de disfrutar nuestra propia transformación, la expresividad, la creatividad y, con ello, mejorar las relaciones humanas.
