This analysis allows us to understand the mechanisms established for its exercise based on the Convention on the Rights of the Child and Salvadoran legislation, as indicated in General Comment numbers 12 and 14 of the Committee on the Rights of the Child. Furthermore, an analysis is conducted based on national jurisprudence issued by the Constitutional Chamber in legal protection matters to determine the access that this sector has to the aforementioned rights, with the principle of the best interests of the child as a focal point of analysis. Additionally, experiences developed in Mexico regarding legal protection cases filed by children are identified, as seen in the Malecón Tajamar case, an initiative linked to the right to a healthy environment. The article concludes with proposals for positive actions that can be implemented to enhance the right to access justice as a request and response for girls, boys, and adolescents as rights holders. El artículo hace un análisis sobre la aplicación del principio del interés superior y su relación con el derecho de acceso a la justicia como petición y respuesta de las niñas, niños y adolescentes en el proceso de amparo, derecho que se encuentra regulado en el artículo 12 de la Convención de los Derechos del Niño y en la Ley Crecer Juntos, permitiendo conocer los mecanismos que se han establecido para su ejercicio desde la Convención sobre los Derechos del Niño y la legislación salvadoreña, partiendo de lo señalado en la Observación General número 12 y 14 del Comité sobre los Derechos del Niño. Además, se realiza un análisis a partir de la jurisprudencia nacional emitida por la Sala de lo Constitucional en materia de amparo con la finalidad de conocer el acceso que tiene este sector en los derechos antes mencionados, tomando como punto de análisis el principio del interés superior. Aunado a la identificación de experiencias desarrolladas en México en materia de amparo promovido por niñas y niños en el caso denominado Malecón Tajamar, iniciativa que se encuentra vinculada con el derecho a un medio ambiente sano. Para concluir con propuestas de acciones positivas que se pueden implementar para potenciar el derecho de acceso a la justicia como petición y respuesta de niñas, niños y adolescentes como sujetos derechos.
