The research was carried out with a situational diagnosis of the context under study supported by a documentary review of various previous investigations. Managing to identify that the main reason for dropping out of school in the institution is failure, caused by absenteeism in the classrooms and the lack of interest of the students. Dropping out of the classroom manifests family problems, from economic reasons, parental apathy in the education of their children. It is concluded that school dropout can arise from the social problems that cross it. En esta investigación de tipo cualitativa se llegó a los resultados sobre las causas de la deserción escolar en el Bachillerato Tecnológico Agropecuario No. 81 (CBTA), del Ejido 2 de abril del municipio El Fuerte, Sinaloa. La investigación se realizó con un diagnóstico situacional del contexto en estudio sustentado por revisión documental de diversas investigaciones anteriores. Logrando identificar que la razón principal de la deserción escolar en la institución es la reprobación, originada por el ausentismo en las aulas y la falta de interés de los estudiantes. El abandono del aula manifiesta problemas familiares, desde razones económicas, apatía de los padres en la formación de sus hijos. Se concluye, que la deserción escolar puede derivarse de las problemáticas sociales que transversalmente la transitan Universidad de El Salvador.
