The research had a descriptive and cross-sectional approach. The research took a sample of 157 teachers who taught in the first to sixth grade levels, with a population of 1000 teachers. The survey consisted of 14 questions covering general aspects and others with respect to games. The program that was used for the data analysis was Epiinfo version 7. This program allows to analyze data, generate frequencies, percentages, make graphs and tables. Its advantage is the design of the questionnaire to capture the surveys. The conclusions indicate that, although the teachers have a favorable attitude of including the didactic games in the mathematics class, the majority use it in arithmetic, another important point that the teachers emphasize that the contents with the greatest difficulty of learning are the area of geometry, and arithmetic; They also stated that they had not attended a seminar on didactic games and asked to be offered seminars oriented to geometry, measurement, arithmetic and statistics. As recommendations we emphasize in offering seminar of didactic games in mathematics in the trainings that the University of Panama offers with the Ministry of Education and to elaborate a book of didactic material through mathematical games for the level of primary. Este trabajo presenta los resultados del estudio realizado a docentes de las escuelas primarias del sector oficial de la Zona 3 de San Miguelito incluyendo Chilibre y las Cumbres, cuyo objetivo es si el maestro utiliza y aplica los juegos didácticos en la enseñanza de la matemática. La investigación tuvo un enfoque  tipo descriptivo y trasversal. La investigación tomó una muestra de 157 docentes que enseñaban en los niveles de primero a sexto grado, con un población de  1000 maestros.  La encuesta constó de 14 preguntas  que abarcar aspectos generales y otras con respecto a los juegos. El programa que se usó para el análisis de datos fue Epiinfo versión 7. Este programa permite analizar datos, generar frecuencias, porcentajes, hacer gráficas y tablas. Su ventaja es el diseño del cuestionario para la captura de las encuestas. Las conclusiones indican que, si bien los docentes tienen una actitud favorable de incluir los juegos didácticos en la clase de matemática, la mayoría lo utilizan en aritmética,  otro punto importante que resaltan los maestros que los contenidos con mayor dificultad de aprendizaje son el  área de geometría, y aritmética; manifestaban también que  no habían asistidos a seminario sobre juegos didácticos y piden que se le ofrezca seminarios orientados a la geometría, medida, aritmética y estadística. Como recomendaciones resaltamos en ofrecer seminario de juegos didácticos en matemática en las capacitaciones que ofrece la Universidad de Panamá con el Ministerio de Educación y elaborar  un libro de material didáctico a través de juegos matemáticos para el nivel de primaria.  Universidad de Panamá.
