Such is the commotion that some of the most famous entrepreneurs in the digital industry have expressed their opinion and, not very few, have asked for caution. This article is a bibliographic, qualitative research, through the network whose objective is to investigate the characteristics of Chatbots information systems, their use and possible development with the ChatGPT application in Panama. the main conclusion is that it is an open field for investment and development that allows software engineering professionals new business opportunities. En la actualidad el mundo está metido, quiéralo o no, en el debate sobre el ChatGPT último producto tecnológico digital, que ofrece la ingeniaría del software, basado en el desarrollo de Chatbots e inmerso en la Ingeniería Artificial que supone una máquina que “razona” para interactuar con otro usuario, que suponemos humano, en una imitación casi indetectable de otro humano. Es tal el revuelo que algunos de los más afamados empresarios de la industria digital han expresado su opinión y, no muy pocos, han pedido cautela. Este artículo es una investigación bibliográfica, cualitativa, a través de la red cuyo objetivo es indagar sobre las características de los sistemas de información Chatbots, su uso y posible desarrollo con la aplicación ChatGPT en Panamá. La principal conclusión es que es un campo abierto a la inversión y desarrollo que permite a los profesionales de la ingeniería del software nuevas oportunidades de negocio. Universidad de Panamá.
