However, the criminal landscape in Portugal has undergone many changes, before the latest world events, one of which has been the dizzying increase in foreign women in criminal practices, especially those involving international drug trafficking. Among these, the South American ones stand out, specifically the Brazilian ones. The reasons for such an increase lead us to numerous reflections, from an analysis of the critical theory of female crime to the use of an approach that contributes to “giving voice” to transgressive women. Furthermore, the background of international drug trafficking in Europe is related to a specific plot, circumscribed, above all, to the situation in Portugal, which, unlike other countries, has served as a gateway for the entrance of the so-called “drug couriers”. Con el escenario de la pandemia, las organizaciones criminales han cambiado el modus operandi de la llamada ruta de la droga. Sin embargo, el panorama criminal en Portugal ha experimentado muchos cambios, antes de los últimos acontecimientos mundiales, uno de los cuales ha sido el vertiginoso aumento de mujeres extranjeras en prácticas criminales, especialmente aquellas que involucran el tráfico internacional de drogas. Entre estas destacan las sudamericanas, específicamente las brasileñas. Las razones de tal incremento nos llevan a numerosas reflexiones, desde un análisis de la teoría crítica del crimen femenino hasta el uso de un enfoque que contribuya a “dar voz” a las mujeres transgresoras. Además, el trasfondo del narcotráfico internacional en Europa está relacionado con una trama específica, circunscrita, sobre todo, a la situación en Portugal, que, a diferencia de otros países, ha servido de puerta de entrada para los denominados “mensajeros de la droga”.
