The magnitude of the task of training has indicated the need to use a methodology that applies the advances of the educational technology and that allows to optimize the results in terms and quantitative. La mayoría de los países de América Latina y el Caribe han iniciado programas nacionales de bibliotecas escolares o han tomado la decisión de hacerlo y uno de los tropiezos con que se enfrentan estos programas es la escasez de los recursos humanos capacitados para el manejo de las biblioteca escolares. La magnitud de la tarea de capacitación ha señalado la necesidad de emplear una metodología que aplique los avances de la tecnología educativa y que permita optimizar los resultados en términos y cuantitativos.
