That is, each extension of the senses changes the way of thinking, acting and a way of perceiving the world; this in turn implies a change in the process of knowledge. In this way, the author ends rethinking that humanism on the threshold of the twenty-first century, is probably one of the most frigid from the end of the century. En este documento la autora hace referencia a los cambios de percepción a los que se debe hacer frente y al igual que en otros momentos históricos, un cambio de metáfora que no debe ser entendido solo como un cambio cosmetológico. Es decir, cada prolongación de los sentidos modifica la forma de pensar, actuar y la manera de percibir el mundo; esto a su vez supone un cambio en el proceso del conocimiento. De este modo, la autora finaliza replanteándose que el humanismo en los umbrales del siglo XXI, es probablemente una de las preguntas más frígidas de final de siglo. Neste documento, o autor refere-se às mudanças de percepção que devem ser enfrentadas e, como em outros momentos históricos, a uma mudança de metáfora que não deve ser entendida apenas como uma mudança cosmetológica. Ou seja, cada prolongamento dos sentidos modifica o modo de pensar, de agir e o modo de perceber o mundo; isto, por sua vez, supõe uma mudança no processo do conhecimento. Desta forma, o autor acaba por repensar que o humanismo no limiar do século XXI é provavelmente uma das questões mais frígidas do final do século.
