Ugalde Víquez, Aracelly Barboza Jiménez, Lucrecia Opinion Research Educational Programs Library self-evaluation employers graduates Costa Rica Estudios de Opinión Programas Educativos Bibliotecología Autoevaluación Empleadores(as) Graduados(as) Escuela de Bibliotecología Documentación e Información de la Universidad Nacional Costa Rica Estudos de Opinião, Programas Educacionais, Biblioteconomia, Auto-avaliação, Empregadores, Graduados, Escola de Biblioteconomia, Documentação e Informação da Universidade Nacional, Costa Rica This article provides a brief description of some general aspects of the self-assessment processes carried out at the Escuela de Bibliotecología, Documentación e Información (EBDI) of the Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica, in order to obtain accreditation for the career of Librarianship and Documentation in 2005, as well as to achieve reaccreditation in 2009. A comparison is made between the two evaluation processes from the point of view of two specific sectors, employers and graduates. In addition, the opinions contributed by each of them are presented as a way of partial analysis of the social impact of educational programs in the library community, as a first input to create awareness of the importance of these studies at the institutional and national levels. El presente artículo expone una breve descripción de algunos aspectos generales de los procesos de autoevaluación llevados a cabo en la Escuela de Bibliotecología, Documentación e Información (EBDI) de la Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica, para obtener la acreditación de la carrera de Bibliotecología y Documentación en el 2005, así como para lograr la reacreditación en el 2009. Se hace una comparación entre los dos procesos evaluadores desde el punto de vista de dos sectores específicos, empleadores(as) y graduados(as). Además, se presentan las opiniones aportadas por cada uno de ellos(as) como modo de análisis parcial de impacto social de los programas educativos en la comunidad bibliotecológica, como primer insumo para crear conciencia de la importancia de estos estudios en el nivel institucional y nacional. Este artigo apresenta uma breve descrição de alguns aspectos gerais dos processos de auto-avaliação realizados na Escuela de Bibliotecología, Documentación e Información (EBDI) da Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica, com o objetivo de obter a acreditação para a carreira de Bibliotecologia e Documentação em 2005, bem como para obter uma nova acreditação em 2009. É feita uma comparação entre os dois processos de avaliação do ponto de vista de dois setores específicos, empregadores e graduados. Além disso, as opiniões contribuídas por cada um deles são apresentadas como uma forma de análise parcial do impacto social dos programas educativos na comunidade bibliotecária, como um primeiro input para criar consciência da importância destes estudos a nível institucional e nacional.
