Finally, we urge all the library community to participate and return to the Library Journal, your contributions, in particular, articles, essays and technical reports. Como contribución internacional, tenemos un excelente ensayo del colega mexicano Héctor Guillermo Alfaro, quien propone un interesante análisis de la relación entre la historia y la bibliotecología y nos exhorta a retomar el estudio del pasado de nuestra disciplina con miras a constituirla en un campo de conocimiento plenamente científico. Estos artículos examinan tanto los temas puramente prácticos como aquellos en los que se requiere el análisis teórico, en aras del crecimiento y desarrollo de nuestra área disciplinar. Por último, instamos a toda la comunidad bibliotecológica para que participe y envíe, a la Revista Bibliotecas, sus contribuciones; en específico, artículos, ensayos e informes técnicos.
