The final graduation work consisted of three important axes: the memory, the multimedia that contains all the information collected and a database in which the user, in addition to knowing the bibliographic production on the subject of Hereditary popular traditions has been produced, would help you physically locate these publications. In order to achieve the proposed objectives, visits were made to the public and municipal libraries of the province, as well as interviews with different artistic personalities of the Heredian cantons, which gave access to different legends, anecdotes, stories, songs, music and history of the province of Heredia. En el presente trabajo se presentan los resultados del rescate documental practicado en diferentes manifestaciones populares presentes en los cantones del área central de la Provincia de Heredia. El trabajo final de graduación se compuso de tres importantes ejes a saber: la memoria, el multimedia que contiene toda la información colectada y una base de datos en la cual el(la) usuario(a), además de conocer la producción bibliográfica que sobre el tema de las tradiciones populares heredianas se ha producido, le ayudaría a ubicar físicamente dichas publicaciones. Para lograr los objetivos propuestos se procedió a realizar visitas a las bibliotecas públicas y municipales de la provincia, así como entrevistas con diferentes personalidades artísticas de los cantones heredianos, con lo que se logró tener acceso a diferentes leyendas, anécdotas, cuentos, canciones, música e historia de la provincia de Heredia.
