FIGUEROA, CLAUDIA ESPERANZA SAAVEDRA, CLAUDIA Metodología historia social historia de la educación escuela normal superior tesis y formación docente Methodology social history history of education higher normal school thesis and teacher training This article seeks to reflect on the social history of educational institutions: theoretical and methodological aspects, the case of Colombia, Venezuela and Spain, articulated to the doctoral thesis entitled "The Normal Higher School and the attached institutes in Colombia, 1936- 1951" According to the above, is there a need to see how the social history and educational institutions research line has been consolidated in each of the countries mentioned and in what way is it articulated to the doctoral thesis? In fact, it has its own characteristics and responds to a significant historical methodological reference to reveal its sense of globality. As a consequence of the above, it is significant to show what happens with the academic communities of Spain, Venezuela and Colombia, to consolidate institutions and societies towards social change in the educational framework and towards an institutional development that frames a local, regional and national identity , in which correlations emerge between institutions, nations and academic communities, oriented to the understanding and analysis of social history and education. To this end, the Historical Method and educational research were taken into account, with the support of archives, documents and master's and doctoral work in Colombia, Venezuela and Spain. El presente artículo busca hacer una reflexión sobre la historia social de las instituciones educativas: aspectos teóricos y metodológicos, el caso de Colombia, Venezuela y España, articulado a la tesis doctoral intitulada “La Escuela Normal Superior y los institutos anexos en Colombia, 1936-1951”. De acuerdo a lo anterior, hay necesidad de ver cómo se ha consolidado la línea de investigación historia social y de las instituciones educativas, en cada uno de los países mencionados y de qué manera se articula a la tesis doctoral? De hecho, tiene unas características propias y responden a un referente metodológico histórico significativo para develar su sentido de globalidad. Consecuencia de lo anterior, es significativo evidenciar lo que sucede con las comunidades académicas de España, Venezuela y Colombia, para consolidar instituciones y sociedades hacia el cambio social en el marco educativo y hacia un desarrollo institucional que enmarca  una identidad local, regional y nacional  propia, en la que emergen  correlaciones  entre instituciones, naciones y comunidades académicas, orientadas al entendimiento y al análisis de la historia social y de la educación. Para ello se tuvieron en cuenta el Método Histórico y la  investigación  educativa, con el soporte de archivos, documentos y trabajos de maestría y doctorado en Colombia, Venezuela y España.
