Using a descriptive, cross-sectional, mixed and non-experimental methodology because it is a non-probabilistic and non-random sampling, the analysis was carried out during the year 2021 through the application of the survey technique, using as instruments a questionnaire to obtain the appreciation of 200 students and an interview with 10 teachers from three schools of the Faculty, about the experience obtained during the classes of the year 2020. The results showed that the transition from the traditional methodology to Remote Emergency Education was not an easy task for the students or for the teachers, so the change of culture and mentality of both subgroups was essential to overcome anxiety, fear and frustration at an educational model unknown to most. However, it was possible to conclude that the students acquired a leading role that strengthened their discipline and learning, enhanced collaborative work and promoted quality, while teachers perceived a change in their role as transmitters of information towards that of facilitators, providers resource and information seekers. Se identifica la percepción de estudiantes y profesores de la Facultad de Administración de Empresas y Contabilidad de la Universidad de Panamá hacia la Educación Remota de Emergencia que se desarrolló durante el año 2020 a raíz de la cuarentena impuesta por la pandemia COVID-19. Utilizando una metodología descriptiva, transversal, mixta y no experimental por tratarse de un muestreo no probabilístico y no aleatorio, el análisis se llevó a cabo durante el año 2021 mediante la aplicación de la técnica de la encuesta, utilizando como instrumentos un cuestionario aplicado a 200 estudiantes y una entrevista a 10 docentes de tres escuelas de la Facultad, sobre la experiencia obtenida durante las clases del año 2020. Los resultados demostraron que la transición de la metodología tradicional a la Educación Remota de Emergencia no fue una tarea fácil para los estudiantes ni para los profesores, por lo que fue fundamental el cambio de cultura y mentalidad de ambos subgrupos para vencer la ansiedad, el miedo y la frustración ante un modelo educativo desconocido para la mayoría. Sin embargo, se pudo concluir que los estudiantes adquirieron un rol protagónico que fortaleció su disciplina y aprendizaje, potencializó el trabajo colaborativo y promovió la calidad, en tanto que los docentes percibieron un cambio de su rol como transmisores de información hacia el de facilitadores, proveedores de recursos y buscadores de información.  Universidad de Panamá.
