To help remedy this, here is a translation of a provocative talk offered in France in 2010 by Donald Worster, his lead scholar and biographer. Aunque John Muir es el fundador del movimiento conservacionista en los Estados Unidos de América, en América Latina y el Caribe se conoce poco de él, porque sus libros aún no se han traducido, y su vida y obra no se han divulgado de manera suficiente. Para contribuir a subsanar esto, se traduce aquí una provocadora charla ofrecida en Francia en el 2010 por Donald Worster, su principal estudioso y biógrafo.
