Information on C-Neutral certification options at the national level was collected. INTE/ISO 14064:2006 and INTE/ISO 12-01-06:2011 were taken as a reference to carry out the GHG inventory, and to give the recommendations to implement C-Neutral management system respectively. 2014 was the year of the committee operations taken as a reference for the inventory. As the result of the inventory, the sources of GHG sources were identified and their emissions quantified, in accordance with national and international factors; 77.4 tons of total emissions of carbon equivalent (tCOe) were quantified, coming mainly from sources of hydrocarbons combustion (fleet vehicle). Also a template with stoichiometric equations for future GHG measurements and a matrix of fulfillment of requirements and recommendations were designed for the eventual certification of the C-neutral system, in order to be implemented in any of the Red Cross committees in Costa Rica. Dentro del contexto de la Estrategia Carbono Neutralidad de Costa Rica, en este estudio se llevó a cabo un inventario de gases efecto invernadero (GEI),se analizaron los requisitos e hicieron recomendaciones necesarias para que el Comité Auxiliar de San Vito de Coto Brus de la Cruz Roja Costarricense diagnostique su posibilidad de convertirse en una organización carbono neutral. Se recopiló información sobre opciones de certificación C-Neutral a nivel nacional. Se tomaron en cuenta las certificaciones INTE/ISO 14064:2006 e INTE/ISO 12-01-06:2011 como referencia para la elaboración del inventario GEI y las recomendaciones para implementación del sistema de gestión de C-Neutro, respectivamente. El inventario se realizó tomando como año base la operación del comité en el 2014. Como resultado del inventario se identificaron las fuentes de GEI y se cuantificó su emisión, según los factores nacionales e internacionales; el total de emisiones se cuantificó en 77,4 toneladas de carbono equivalente (tCO2e), provenientes principalmente de fuentes de combustión de hidrocarburos (flotilla vehicular). También se elaboró un plantilla con las ecuaciones estequiométricas para futuras mediciones de GEI y una matriz de cumplimiento de requisitos y recomendaciones para la eventual certificación del sistema de C-Neutro, de manera que funcione para cualquiera de los comités de Cruz Roja en Costa Rica.
