In this article there is a reflection about the main function of the initial level of knowledge and its construction process made by boys and girls on the reading and the writing process. Also, there are some general aspects of the Whole Language Philosophy, and some suggestions to attract the boy and the girl on a natural way to the use of the writing and reading languages in the pre-school classrooms.
