In addition, some general considerations about the linguistic sexism problem in Spanish are presented and it is affirmed that a speaker commits this fault, when communicating or expressing themselves, they use some words or share some messages that tend to denigrate or discriminate against people of both sexes, due to the way in which language is used and not to its substance. The objective of this research is to present a brief reflection on the sexist use of language or linguistic sexism as a form of oral and written expression. The methodology used for the development of this study is qualitative, documentary, and linguistic. The results show that the Spanish language is a non-sexist linguistic system since linguistic sexism lies in the use or employment made by the speaker of the language. Therefore, grammatical gender should not be confused with sex. Finally, the teaching of linguistic sexism is suggested, at all school levels, since its learning becomes a valuable tool that contributes to gradually eliminate the inequality that exists between the male and female sex. En el artículo Reflexión sobre el uso sexista de la lengua o el sexismo lingüístico como forma de expresión se proponen algunas definiciones sobre el concepto de sexismo lingüístico. Además, se presentan algunas consideraciones generales acerca del problema del sexismo lingüístico en el español y se afirma que un hablante comete esta falta cuando al comunicarse o expresarse utilizan algunas palabras o comparten algunos mensajes que tienden a denigrar o discriminar a personas de ambos sexos, debido a la forma en que se hace uso del lenguaje y no a su fondo. El objetivo de esta investigación es el de presentar una breve reflexión sobre el uso sexista de la lengua o el sexismo lingüístico como una forma de expresión oral y escrita. La metodología empleada, para el desarrollo de este estudio, es de tipo cualitativa, documental y lingüística. Los resultados demuestran que el idioma español es un sistema lingüístico no sexista, ya que el sexismo lingüístico radica en el uso o el empleo que haga el hablante de la lengua. Por lo tanto, no se debe confundir el género gramatical con sexo. Por último, se sugiere la enseñanza del sexismo lingüístico, en todos los niveles escolares, ya que su aprendizaje se convierte en una herramienta valiosa que contribuye a eliminar de forma gradual la desigualdad que existe entre el sexo masculino y el femenino.
