Aparicio, Karla Anillamiento área protegida biodiversidad longevidad Bird ringing protected area biodiversity longevity We evaluate the biodiversity of resident birds at the Invernal Survival Monitoring Station (MoSI), located in the Chagres National Park, Panama. For ten years, the study was carried out from December 2007 to 2017 for three days. Sixteen nets of mist were placed in pairs at eight different sites every 200 meters. Morphometric measurements were taken from the captured birds; they were ringed and subsequently released. Statistical tests were applied to the collected data. Fifty- nine species were recorded, belonging to seven orders, 19 families, and 52 genera. The Shannon-Wiener index showed a high diversity of avifauna (H’= 3.428). The composition of the bird fauna composition suggests being in balance because it is represented by dominant, abundant, common, and rare species. According to the ring registry, it is reported that there are birds that have lived in this place for more than ten years, among which such as the Cocoa Woodcreeper Xiphorhynchus susurrans and the Rosy Trush-Tanager Rhodinocichla rosea Se evaluó la biodiversidad de aves residentes en la estación de Monitoreo de Supervivencia Invernal (MoSI), ubicada en el área del Parque Nacional Chagres, Panamá. El estudio se llevó a cabo durante 10 años, en el mes de diciembre de 2007 a 2017, durante tres días seguidos. Se colocaron 16 redes de niebla por pares en ocho sitios diferentes cada 200 metros. A las aves capturadas se les tomaron medidas morfométricas básicas de identificación, se anillaron y se liberaron posteriormente. Como resultado, se registraron 59 especies, pertenecientes a siete órdenes, 19 familias y 52 géneros. El índice de Shannon-Wiener mostró una alta diversidad de avifauna (H’ = 3.428). La estructura de la composición de la avifauna del lugar sugiere estar en equilibrio debido a que se encuentra representada por especies dominantes, abundantes, comunes y raras. Se reportó, según el registro de anillos, que hay aves que llevan más de 10 años que habitan en ese lugar, entre los cuales destacan el trepatroncos chocolate Xiphorhynchus susurrans y la tangara pechirosada Rhodinocichla rosea.
