We start from the belief that cultural diversity is the reality of the dialogue for the development and affirmation of the exercise of human rights. It is a natural resource of human regeneration to creatively emancipate the development of humanity, constituting one of the greatest challenges for the curricula of the different educational systems in the world. From a holistic approach, we seek to interpret the place and time of cultural diversity in the curriculum. It is hoped that this article will contribute to highlighting the importance of cultural diversity and assuring visibility in curricula, an authentic way to respond to the commitment that the 2030 Agenda represents for inclusive human development, as a shared and plural creative citizen responsibility, to affirm harmonious development of humanity. Este artigo, fundamentado em debates e diretrizes da diversidade cultural e desenvolvimento suscitados pela Agenda 2030, que a projeta transversal a todos os objetivos, sendo assumida pela UNESCO como de importância global, perspetivando-a como tão necessária ao desenvolvimento sustentável como a biodiversidade, procura problematizar a sua pertinência nos curricula, enquanto lugar integrante do conhecimento valioso. Partimos da convicção que a diversidade cultural é a realidade do diálogo para o desenvolvimento e afirmação do exercício dos direitos humanos. É um recurso natural de regeneração humana a emancipar criativamente o desenvolvimento da humanidade, constituindo-se num dos maiores desafíos para os curricula dos diferentes sistemas educativos do mundo. A partir de uma abordagem holística procuramos interpretar o lugar e o tempo da diversidade cultural no currículo. Espera-se que este artigo contribua para evidenciar a importância da diversidade cultural assumir vissibilidade nos curricula, uma forma autêntica para responder ao compromisso que a agenda 2030 representa para o desenvolvimento humano inclusivo, enquanto responsabilidade cidadã criativa partilhada e plural, a afirmar o desenvolvimento harmonioso da humanidade.
