Adaptation to climate change Community-based organizations Socioenvironmental vulnerability Risk management Preventive disaster’s education In this essay an integral approach is offered where the different aspects of the reality on the environmental situation in El Salvador are presented, considering the adaptation of climate change and the socio-community challenges; with the objective of raising awareness of this socio-environmental problem on a planetary level. To that effect, the state of vulnerability of the country is designed. The author wants to give himself the opportunity to reach the readers, so that they perceive a direct contact with the Salvadoran social reality. From its critical and open perspective, proposals are also established on how to address the situation of climate change and risk management at the community level, to reduce the disastrous impacts of natural phenomena by promoting preventive education; to minimize social disasters, thus safeguarding people's lives and protecting the most vulnerable communities in El Salvador En este ensayo se brinda un enfoque integral donde se plantean los distintos aspectos sobre la realidad de la situación ambiental en El Salvador, tomando en cuenta la adaptación al cambio climático, los desafíos y retos socio-comunitarios; con el objetivo de lograr sensibilizar y realizar conciencia ante esta problemática socioambiental, y que es a nivel planetario.
