In this text two narrative processes converge: one of the tragic history of the Aragón-Baldonini family and the other of detective series. Interpretative readings are proposed to show the relationship between the reason for the descent and visit to hell within the structure of the new detective novel. El artículo describe Donde no estén ustedes, en el contexto de la narrativa de Horacio Castellanos Moya. En esta obra confluyen dos procesos narrativos: el de la historia de la familia Aragón-Baldonini y el de la serie policiaca. Se proponen lecturas interpretativas para mostrar las relaciones entre el motivo del descenso y la visita al infierno con la estructura de la novela policial.
