The goats was managed in tabulated system under tropical conditions. Productive performance was statistically significant (p<0.05) to breed and number of lactances, showing that both breed had more productive performance (kg/240 days) in the third lactance with 483.98 ± 8.90 for Saanen goats and 455.97 ± 32.37 for Brown Alpine goats. Lactations curves was fitted optimally with Wood model with R2 ? 0.87. Breed influenced significally over nutritional composition of milk, showing values (%) of 3.56 ± 0.24 protein, 4.07 ± 0.41 fat, 12.30 ± 1.66 total solids, 9.03 ± 0.20 non-fatty solids and 4.49 ± 0.23 lactose. It was concluded that breed and number of lactation influenced over productive performance of Saanen and Brown Alpine goats in tabulate system and goats in the first, second and third lactance of both breeds showed good performance, specifically the goats in third lactance. Farmers could utilize strategically Saanen goats to increase the milk yield and Brown Alpine goats in order to improve the nutritional quality of milk. El objetivo del estudio fue evaluar la influencia de la raza y el número de lactancia sobre el desempeño productivo y la composición nutricional de la leche en cabras.  Se utilizaron 597 pesajes de leche de 18 cabras, nueve Saanen y nueve Parda Alpina. Las cabras fueron manejadas en sistema estabulado bajo condiciones tropicales. El desempeño productivo fue influenciado significativamente (P<0,05) por la raza y el número de lactancia, mostrando que ambas razas presentan mayor rendimiento productivo (kg/240 días) en la tercera lactancia con 483,98 ± 8,90 la raza Saanen y 455,97 ± 32,37 la raza Parda Alpina. Las curvas de lactancias fueron ajustadas mediante el modelo no lineal propuesto por Wood con R2 ? 0,87. La raza influyó significativamente (P<0,05) sobre la composición nutricional de la leche, indicando que la raza Parda Alpina presentó mayor calidad nutricional, con contenidos (%) de 3,56 ± 0,24 proteína; 4,07 ± 0,41 grasa; 12,30 ± 1,66 sólidos totales; 9,03 ± 0,20 sólidos no grasos y 4,49 ± 0,23 lactosa. Se concluyó que la raza y el número de lactancia presentan influencia sobre el rendimiento productivo de las cabras Saanen y Parda Alpina en sistema estabulado, sobresaliendo la producción de la tercera lactancia. Los productores pueden utilizar estratégicamente la raza Saanen con la finalidad de mejorar el rendimiento productivo y la Parda Alpina para aumentar la calidad nutricional de la leche.
