The essay highlights some of the variables that explain structural and coincidentally forms, which in these cities is urban space, and how we study these from a Marxist geography standpoint and the approach to critical complexity. Este ensayo plantea algunos apuntes introductorios para la elaboración de un marco teórico metodológico desde los enfoques críticos para el estudio del espacio urbano en ciudades intermedias de la periferia de los procesos de acumulación de capital a escala mundial, en el contexto del capitalismo neoliberal y de su crisis. Para ello expondré algunas de las variables que explican estructural y coyunturalmente las formas que en estas ciudades adquiere el espacio urbano y cómo se estudian desde la geografía marxista y desde el enfoque de la complejidad crítica. Este ensayo plantea algunos apuntes introductorios para la elaboración de un marco teórico metodológico desde los enfoques críticos para el estudio del espacio urbano en ciudades intermedias de la periferia de los procesos de acumulación de capital a escala mundial, en el contexto del capitalismo neoliberal y de su crisis.
