Therefore, this study aims to analyze the fulfillment of the educational policy on inclusive education from the perspective of educational management. The research implemented a qualitative approach, with the participation of six primary school principals in Costa Rica and used the case study technique through a semi-structured interview. The findings show the existence of situations limiting the application of educational policies, mainly in the promotion of inclusive environments oriented to prejudice-free coexistence respecting diversity, as well as in issues of lifelong learning and institutional transformation as part of the orientations of the country’s public policy in education. La gestión educativa que implementan las personas directoras es fundamental para garantizar el cumplimiento de la política educativa; no es solo una obligación, sino una convicción en los centros educativos que aspiren a la promoción de entornos inclusivos y al respeto a la diversidad, la multiculturalidad, la formación integral, al trabajo en equipo, a la capacidad creativa, al pensamiento abstracto y al emprendedurismo social a través de espacios de convivencia equitativos y accesibles. Este estudio tiene como objetivo analizar el cumplimiento de la política educativa en materia de educación inclusiva desde la perspectiva de la gestión educativa. La investigación fue realizada desde un enfoque cualitativo, con la participación de seis personas directoras de educación primaria de Costa Rica, mediante la técnica de estudio de caso a través de una entrevista semiestructurada. Los hallazgos evidencian la existencia de situaciones que limitan la aplicación de la política educativa de manera particular en la promoción de entornos inclusivos orientados a la convivencia libre de prejuicios y respetuosa de la diversidad, así como en temas de formación permanente y la transformación institucional como parte de las orientaciones de la política pública en educación del país.
