We mainly entered the SCOPUS database, searching for the terms "safety", "safety management", "risk management", discarding articles that have been published before 2018, and that are not available. In this article, a systematic review of the literature on the methods used for risk management, both qualitative and quantitative, has been carried out, focusing on some phase of the risk management cycle (identification, evaluation, mitigation, monitoring), as well as the main fields of application.In most organizations there are frequent alterations in their functioning that cause disruptions in their daily operations. This type of alterations are a consequence of potential risks that exist in the environment and in the internal processes in which they are developed in the productive activity. El objetivo de este trabajo es describir y explicar sistemáticamente las evidencias científicas, sobre gestión de riesgos para la seguridad sostenible, disponibles en las bases de datos más importantes en idioma español e inglés de los últimos 3 años. Se ingresó principalmente a la base de datos SCOPUS, realizándose la búsqueda de los términos “seguridad”, “gestión de seguridad”, “gestión de riesgos”, descartándose artículos que hayan sido publicados antes de 2018, y que no estén disponibles. En este artículo se ha llevado a cabo una revisión sistemática de la literatura sobre los métodos utilizados para la gestión de riesgos, tanto cualitativos como cuantitativos, centrados en alguna fase del ciclo de gestión de riesgos (identificación, evaluación, mitigación, seguimiento), así como los principales campos de aplicación. En la mayoría de las organizaciones se producen frecuentemente alteraciones en su funcionamiento que provocan disrupciones en sus operaciones cotidianas. Este tipo de alteraciones son consecuencia de riesgos potenciales que existen en el entorno y en los propios procesos internos en que se desarrollan en la actividad productiva. Universidad de Panamá.
