The study focuses on articles published in SCOPUS between 2018 and 2022. The research reveals gender differences in the field of education, examining patterns of scientific production, collaboration, and associativity, as well as differences in the impact of scientific output. The findings indicate that, compared to other fields, education in Latin America shows a smaller gender gap in scientific productivity. Additionally, there is an increase in researcher collaboration and the participation of women in journal publications. However, gender biases persist, particularly in the visibility and impact of research conducted by women. Este trabajo analiza, mediante el uso de la bibliometría, la presencia de la mujer en la productividad científica en revistas de educación indexadas de Latinoamérica. Para ello, se consideraron los artículos publicados en SCOPUS entre 2018 y 2022. La investigación revela las diferencias de género en el campo de la educación, examinando patrones de producción científica, colaboración y asociatividad, así como las diferencias en el impacto de la producción científica. Los hallazgos indican que, comparado con otros campos, la educación en Latinoamérica exhibe una menor brecha de género en la producción científica. Adicionalmente, se observa un aumento en la asociatividad y participación de mujeres en publicaciones de revistas. Sin embargo, aún persisten patrones que evidencian sesgos de género, en especial en la visibilidad e impacto de las investigaciones producidas por mujeres. Este artigo analisa a presença de mulheres na produtividade científica em periódicos indexados de educação na América Latina, recorrendo à bibliometria. Para esse efeito, foram considerados os artigos publicados na SCOPUS entre 2018 e 2022. A investigação revela diferenças de género no campo da educação, examinando padrões de produção científica, colaboração e associativismo, bem como diferenças no impacto da produção científica. Os resultados indicam que, em comparação com outros campos, a educação na América Latina apresenta uma lacuna de género menos acentuada no que se refere à produção científica. Além disso, há um aumento na associação e na participação de mulheres em publicações de periódicos. No entanto, os padrões de preconceito de género ainda persistem, especialmente no que se refere à visibilidade e ao impacto da investigação realizada por mulheres.
